Former West Virginia offensive lineman Sullivan Weidman will be returning to his native state of Massachusetts as he has officially committed to UMass for the 2025 season.

Weidman will be a redshirt junior with two seasons of eligibility remaining -- he made 21 appearances from 2023-2024 for WVU after redshirting his freshman season. Weidman was a consensus Top 10 recruit from the state of Massachusetts out of high school, and will have two seasons of eligibility left remaining.
Since joining the FBS level in 2012, the Minutemen have split time between playing in the Group of 5-level Mid-American Conference (MAC) and playing as an independent -- they will return to the MAC in 2025.
