According to reporting Monday from 247 Sports affiliate EerSports, freshman offensive tackle Justin Terry has left the Mountaineers and entered the transfer portal. Having used his redshirt this past season, Terry will have four seasons of eligibility remaining.
The loss of Terry marks the seventh West Virginia offensive lineman that has hit the portal since the off-season began -- he joins Tomas Rimac, Sullivan Weidman, Johnny Williams, and Kyle Altuner as scholarship players on the offensive line that are leaving the program, as well as walk-ons Bryce Biggs and Aiden Ellis. The Mountaineers will also lose starters Nick Malone, Brandon Yates, Ja'Quay Hubbard, and Wyatt Milum to graduation, with the first three having already declared for the 2025 NFL Draft and Milum likely soon to follow -- he is projected to be amongst the top offensive tackles in the draft pool.
Meanwhile, WVU has gained just one player on the offensive line in the portal in Tulsa transfer Walter Young Bear, who has one year of eligibility remaining. Including Young Bear, the current players remaining on the roster, and the incoming freshman class, the Mountaineers are currently set to have just 10 offensive lineman on scholarship next fall -- the position will certainly be of upmost importance in the transfer portal.
