West Virginia football fans go viral for all the wrong reasons in the Blue Lot

West Virginia footballthoroughly manhandled UT-Martin on Saturdayduring their second game of the season, but that wasn't the only whooping handed out in Morgantown on the afternoon.

One of the more viral moments from West Virginia's win on Saturday didn't happen on the field – or even inside the stadium. A video is quickly making the rounds online from the Blue Lot, the infamous tailgating spot just outside of Milan Puskar Stadium, of a scuffle that occurred during the pre-game festivities.

Before West Virginia offered up a beating to UT-Martin, one fan laid the smack down on two others in the Blue Lot. It's not known what started the fight, but the video begins with a blonde man in a blue WVU polo shirt scrapping with a dark-haired man in a black t-shirt.

At one point a shirtless man joins in the fray to swing on the fan in the polo shirt, but in the end, the blue polo stands tall after fighting off both challengers. The video quickly made the rounds on social media, where it drew plenty of opinionated feedback from the internet.

It's never great when your school is going viral for a fight among fans off the field instead of the action on it, but things are known to get rowdy in the Blue Lot – other fanbases might not understand, but it's a Morgantown thing. Check out the top reactions to the fight below.
