West Virginia football continues to re-load it's roster following spring practices with talent available in the transfer portal.

The Mountaineers added their fourth offensive lineman in the spring portal on Wednesday morning with Mississippi State transfer Carson Lee, but that was not the only transfer news to break. WVU football also added a pair of veteran defensive transfers on Wednesday, bringing their total number of transfer additions during the spring window to 15 total.

Joining West Virginia football will be linebacker John Lewis and defensive back Darrian Lewis. Each player will have just one season of eligibility remaining.

John Lewis joins the Mountaineers from UNLV, where he spent the past spring with the Rebels after starting his collegiate career at Mississippi State, where he made 40 appearances and three starts and tallied 44 career tackles -- this past season, he racked up 21 total tackles. Lewis followed former Bulldogs coach Zach Arnett to UNLV to finish out his career, but hit the portal to make the leap back to the Power 4 level.

Darrian Lewis joins former teammate Devonte Golden-Nelson in making the jump to WVU football from the Akron Zips. Lewis was a major contributor for the Zips and comes to Morgantown as a three-year starter in the MAC -- he tallied 74 tackles (3 TFL), six pass breakups, and one interception in 2024. Over his career, he has tallied 202 tackles, 15 pass breakups and two interceptions.
