The West Virginia Mountaineerslost to Oklahoma State by 17 pointson Saturday night, bringing an end to an undefeated start to the season and bringing the West Virginia fan base back to earth after an exciting win the week prior.
It's possible this loss will end up being a blip on a Big 12 Championship resume come the end of the season. It's also possible this is the first sign that West Virginia might seriously struggle against strong competition this year. And it seems there are West Virginia fans on both sides of the aisle, so to speak.

Some fans weren't ready to panic yet. After all, the Moutaineers are still 3-1 with several winnable games before the schedule gets tough. And Oklahoma State's offense is really good, and does feature an NFL prospect in Drew Mestemaker. They also torched a ranked Oregon defense.

Oklahoma State also put up 500 yards on Oregon, and Oregon has Nike money. Our defense was bad today, and Hawkins had a rough day, but we aren't the worst team in the Big 12.

Other fans were on the "fire Zac Alley" train after the Mountaineers gave up over 600 yards of total offense against the Cowboys. Yikes. One fan thinks it's a three-win level defense, while another thought Rodriguez should take the team to do some punishment workouts in the practice facility after the game.
