The West Virginia fan base is getting angrier by the day with the results on the field from Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers.

After a hot start to the season, the Mountaineers have dropped three straight games and are still winless in league play as they fell to an even .500 record on the season. The defense is not getting better, and while the offense is much improved from where it was last season, it doesn't seem to matter given how many points everyone seems to score against West Virginia.

West Virginia fans express displeasure after another loss

There were signs among fans in the stands on Saturday at Milan Puskar Stadium calling for Rodriguez and defensive coordinator Zac Alley to be fired, and while that's not likely happening (or at least to Rodriguez), it's crystal clear that the fans are unhappy with the performance from the Mountaineers. And that was reflected on social media after the game as well.

Fans immediately took to X/Twitter to express their displeasure with the team's efforts, and there wasn't a lot of positive thoughts among the fan base. Some expressed their embarrassment at the current state of the team, and others were openly asking if there are any reasons that should make them want to continue attending home games this season.

And of course, there were also a number of fans joining those in the stands with the signs calling for firings – mostly directed at Zac Alley. Check out some of the reactions below, and let us know how you're feeling after another tough loss.

Gonna be on for a while, and it’s not just a twitter gimmick this time.

Fire everybody in Morgantown. Start over. It’s not working. This is what I knew was going to happen when people thought it would be 2005 again. This is a joke.

Why should I go to the Cincinnati game? I’m being deadass. At what point are you not less of a fan for not going to a game because you refuse to accept the product on the field?
