After he passed away at the age of 86 this past summer, West Virginia men's basketball will be honoring multi-time basketball hall-of-famer and All-American alum Jerry West this coming January when the Mountaineers host Iowa State at the WVU Coliseum.

Set for the January 18 clash with the Cyclones, the Mountaineers will host "Jerry West Day" to provide an opportunity for fans to celebrate the legacy of the most impactful WVU alum in basketball history.

Jerry West miniature statues will be on sale prior to the matchup with Iowa State -- season ticket holders will be able to purchase a limited quantity, with a special single-game ticket option to purchase a ticket and statue as a bundle will be available at a later date. All fans in attendance will also receive a Jerry West memorial pennant donated by United Bank.

On game day, a Jerry West collection of licensed merchandise will be available to purchase through the WVU Team Shop inside the WVU Coliseum, as well as online at shopWVU.com. The collection will feature merchandise designed to honor West's career at WVU with retro designs that include throwback logos.

Members of the West family are set to attend the game against the Cyclones, and the men's basketball team will wear Jerry West era throwback uniforms for the contest.
