Who would have guessed that WVU football head coach Rich Rodriguez would be able to get down in a dance circle with a bunch of 20-something year-old athletes? Well, if you had that on your 2025 college football bingo card, then you might want to go buy yourself a lottery ticket.
WVU football pulled off an absolutely thrilling victory against the Pitt Panthers in The Backyard Brawl, walking out of Milan Puskar Stadium with a 31-24 come-from-behind overtime win. Rich Rodriguez was all fired up on the field after the victory and was all smiles in the post-game press conference as he was welcomed into the room with a standing ovation from his family and friends.

But what fans didn't get to see until late Saturday night was Rodriguez and his team celebrating their big win in the locker room, and it was just as wholesome as one might imagine it. While Rodriguez poked fun during the offseason about players from other programs filming locker room TikTok dances while assuring that such behaviors are banned on his team, that didn't stop the cameras from coming out in the locker room as the Mountaineers celebrated by showing off their best dance moves. And even Rodriguez himself got in on the action.
In the video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, by the program's official account, a number of players – including Tye Edwards, who finished the game with 141 rushing yards and three touchdowns – took center stage to cut a rug in the locker room, before Rodriguez stepped up and did his best 'robot' dance move as his team erupted in cheers. You can watch the video below.
