The West Virginia Mountaineers are just a few months away from taking the field for the first time in the 2026 season. Now, we know when the Mountaineers are set to play their first three games of the season, as what TV networks each game will be broadcast on. The information was released on Wednesday by the Big 12 and it's media partners
The Mountaineers are set to open the season on Saturday, September 5, against Coastal Carolina at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown. That game is set to take place at Noon EST, and will be broadcast on TNT and streamed live on HBO Max.
The second game of the season will also take place in Morgantown, with the Mountaineers hosting FCS opponent Tennessee-Martin on Saturday, September 12. That game is currently schedule for a 1 P.M. EST kickoff, and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
The third and final non-conference opponent this season for West Virginia will be ACC foe Virginia, with the two program set to clash in the Duke's Mayo Classic on Saturday, September 19. That game will be broadcast on the ACC Network, with kickoff set for 7:30 P.M. EST.

In addition, it was announced that West Virginia's Week 4 league showdown with Oklahoma State, set for Milan Puskar Stadium on Saturday, September 26, will be broadcast either on Fox or FS1, with kickoff time still to be determined.
The Mountaineers has previously learned that the final game of the season will be against Utah, and is set to be played at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on Friday, Nov. 27, at 9 PM EST. That game will be broadcast on Fox.
