Rich Rodriguez is tired of answering questions about Oklahoma State loss

West Virginia's head coach was clearly unhappy with how things played out on Saturday, and made that clear on this week's edition of The Rich Rodriguez Show.

The West Virginia Mountaineers were handed their first loss of the season on Saturday night against Oklahoma State, and despite having nearly 48 hours to shed the bad taste from his mouth, Rich Rodriguez still seemed displeased on The Rich Rodriguez Show on Monday evening.

At the beginning of the show, he was addressing questions from host and legendary West Virginia commentator Tony Caridi about the Oklahoma State loss – and it was less than 10 minutes into the show where Rodriguez made it very clear that he was getting tired of trying to answer for the team's poor performance against the Cowboys.

"I'm tolerating questions right now, but hey, I won't tolerate for more than another minute," Rodriguez said. "You know what I'm saying? We're about to give you a sh*tty answer."

WVU Rich Rodriguez sounds frustrated that he's even having to talk about Oklahoma State. "I'm tolerating questions right now, but hey, I won't tolerate for more than another minute. You know what I'm saying? We're about to give you a shi**** answer."

Rich Rodriguez has fiery attitude on weekly radio show after West Virginia's defensive struggles against the Cowboys

Rich Rodriguez is known for being a no-nonsense type of coach, so it probably shouldn't come as a shock that he doesn't want to dwell on the loss to Oklahoma State. Later in the show, he said he'd rather do "anything but talk about that damn game." And to be fair, he laid things out pretty well after the loss on Saturday night during his press conference.

He made it clear that he thought the team played quite poorly on defense, and that their defensive plan completely failed. He took accountability as well, and said it's his job to make sure that gets fixed. Now, some might say that it's his job to continue to answer questions about the poor performance. They wouldn't be wrong. But you have to wonder if he has much more to say about the team's loss?

It didn't seem like he had much to say on Saturday. It felt like he knew exactly where things went wrong, and he was pretty agitated about it. And fans might be upset with the limited answers. That's fair enough. But you can't squeeze water out of a stone, and maybe there's nothing more than a failed game plan at play here. One thing is for certain, however, and that's the fact that Rodriguez might get testy if gets asked about the loss even one more time.
