West Virginia football was coached by Interim Head Coach Chad Scott on Tuesday as the team fell to No. 25 Memphis in the Frisco Bowl, but incoming Head Coach Rich Rodriguez was out at the game to support the team, and also gave an interview with the ESPN commentary team -- and one line he dropped served to put the college football world on notice.

Rodriguez was full of thoughts during the interview -- at one point, he even indicated that he'd make the call to go for it on an upcoming fourth down, but also joking that he "probably wouldn't have huddled" before the play as WVU did before the attempt.

But the big line came as he discussed the program's facilities and his goals during his second stint leading the Mountaineers.

“When I got back, this was the first time I had been back in our facilities in 17 years, and you should see...it’s phenomenal. Our facility stands up with anybody in the country. We’re committed to winning a national championship at West Virginia," he said.

The quotable, if to be taken literally, shows WVU is ready to put forth the resources needed to hunt for the program's first-ever national title, and that Rodriguez has faith in attracting the talent needed to do so.
