The wait is almost over. After a lackluster 2025 season ended with just four wins, WVU football fans have had to wait eight months for the return of the Mountaineers to the gridiron. But fginally, the time is almost here.
While there is still a little over a month remaining before West Virginia's season kicks off with a Saturday, September 5 showdown with Coastal Carolina, the Mountaineers will be taking the field next week for the start of fall camp. Which means before we realize it, it will be time for the first kickoff at Milan Puskar Stadium.
We laid out our projection for a two-deep depth chart following the Gold-Blue Spring Showcase scrimmage, since then things have changed a bit due to rumors, reports, and injuries coming from summer workouts. So with camp set to start next week, let's offer another look at what we expect the depth chart to look like for the West Virginia Mountaineers this fall.
