WVU Swimming and Diving schedule set

The 2024-25 Swimming and Diving schedule is officially set for West Virginia.

The Mountaineers will start their season hosting the West Virginia State Games at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown from Oct. 4-5. The men's team will look for back-to-back titles at the meet, while the women look to avenge a loss to Marshall last season.

WVU will then host an Alumni Meet on Oct. 19, at 3 p.m. before they take their first road trip of the season Kentucky on Oct. 25. WVU will return to Morgantown for their next matchup with rival Cincinnati on Nov. 1-2.

West Virginia will take a few weeks off before hosting the WVU Invitational from Nov. 20-22. Old Dominion, Navy, Villanova and William and Mary are set for competition in what will be the last meet of the 2024 calendar year for WVU. The team resumes their season following the holiday break with a trip up I-79 on Jan. 11 for an aquatic rendition of the Backyard Brawl against Pittsburgh. Wis looking for revenge after falling to the Panthers last season.

WVU will then return home for a dual meet and Senior Day against Villanova before closing the 2024-25 regular season on the road with a dual meet against Penn State on Feb. 1. After that, the 2025 Big 12 Championships will take place Feb. 25-March 1 at the Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington. The NCAA Zone A Diving Championships will then take place March 10-12 with the Mountaineers hoping to advance to the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on March 19-22 and the NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on March 26-29. Both will take place at Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.
