West Virginia fans will have a new pub to visit to celebrate Mountaineer gameday this year -- and that’s not the most exciting news.

Announced on Wednesday, The GOAT Country Roads Pub will be operated by WVU NIL collective Country Roads Trust, with a portion of revenue going towards the NIL collective to support WVU athletics.

The pub is scheduled to open during the week of WVU’s opening football contest against Penn State and will feature a gastropub menu, a beer selection featuring West Virginia breweries, an assorted cocktail menu, and entertainment from pool tables to dart boards.

“We’re excited for a unique partnership that will give us another revenue stream to help our student-athletes,” Country Roads Trust GM Stephen Ford said. “We can call this our home for events, content, launch parties for bourbon and beer and just a great place for all Mountaineer fans to get together.”

The GOAT will be located at 364 Suncrest Towne Centre Drive in Morgantown and is a partnership between the Trust and Harma Restaurant Group. Harma President and WVU alum Bron Kayal reached out this year to collaborate with the Trust to bring a special type of venue to the WVU community.

“We are a mission-driven pub,” Kayal said. “We bleed Blue and Gold. We are Mountaineer Nation. We must be the best and strive to have the best for our teams. The pub will be fun with great entertainment and games. Our team is very excited to collaborate with Country Roads Trust and bring to our community something that is so dear to all our hearts. Come on down, have a great time and support the teams.”
