West Virginia is set to return to the NCAA Division 1 Baseball Championship once again -- and they'll have quite a trip ahead of them to get there,

The Mountaineers cap a season which saw them finish 33-22 overall with their 15th NCAA Championship appearance and second consecutive trip to the postseason, which marks their first back-to-back selection to the event in 60 years. It also marks coach Randy Mazey's fourth NCAA postseason appearance in a 12-year stint set to end via retirement following the end of the season.

WVU was announced as the No. 3-seed in the Tucson regional, hosted by Arizona, who earned a regional No. 1-seed and the overall No. 13-seed in the postseason by way of 36-21 record and a Pac-12 Championship.

Joining WVU and Arizona in the region are No. 2-seed Dallas Baptist (44-13) and No. 4-seed Grand Canyon (34-23) -- the Mountaineers are set to face-off with Dallas Baptist to open regional play on Friday. The Patriots' non-baseball athletic teams compete at the Division 2 level, but their baseball program has operated in Division 1 since 2004 and are making their 13th NCAA Tournament appearance, including 12 out of the past 13 iterations of the event.
