Last week, West Virginia men's basketball took another step towards filling out their roster as they head into the 2024-2025 season.

The Mountaineers added Haris Elezovic to the roster, a 6 foot, 8 inch forward from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Elezovic brings three years of college experience in Canada to a WVU roster who need every veteran presence it can get it's hands on.

"We are excited to welcome Haris to our basketball program," head coach Darian DeVries said. "Haris will bring great versatility and another veteran presence to our front court. We are looking forward to integrating Haris to our team and West Virginia University."

Elezovic spent his first two years of collegiate ball at McGill University before joining Laval University this past season, where he managed a double-double average with 12.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. He averaged a 44 percent shotting average and helped pace Laval to a U Sports National Championship, bringing a winning pedigree to the program building a new culture under first-year coach DeVries.
