West Virginia men’s basketball slid one more puzzle piece into place as they added a freshman post player to their 2024-2025 roster last week.

Abraham Oyeadier, a 6-9, 230 pound center from Accra, Ghana, joined the Mountaineer roster. Oyeadier recently graduated from Academy of Sports Science Prep in Corona, California, where he averaged 10.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. He also has experience on the Nike EYBL Circuit.

"Abraham is a hard-working, humble student-athlete who is mentally and physically tough," said head coach Darian DeVries. "He is an enforcer and true rim protector with a desire to grab boards and provide extra possessions for his team."

While Oyeadier is unlikely to see a ton of action as a freshman added to the roster late, he will fit a team need for true big men, as DeVries had to build a roster from scratch via the transfer portals and his team currently lacks many true post players.
