West Virginia gymnastics has added a new member to their 2024-2025 roster.
Graduate transfer Trinity Macy will join the Mountaineers after a two-year stint with the program at Eastern Michigan. Before her time with the Eagles she competed for WVU’s top rival, spending her freshman and sophomore season with the Pitt Panthers.
During her time in Ypsilanti with the Eagles, Macy competed in every meet on uneven bars in 2024, as well as occasionally competing in the lineup for the balance beam and floor. The previous season, she saw action in 11 meets and was named Newcomer of the Year within the program. While competing as a freshman at Pitt, Macy was named to the 2021 EAGL All-Tournament Second Team.
A native of Rowlett, Texas, Macy trained at Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen, Texas, and captured two state championships during her pre-collegiate career. She was also a six-time Junior Olympic Nationals medalist, managing top-10 finishes in three different events at nationals. Macy graduated from Texas Connections Academy.
