West Virginia golf set to open season in Minnesota next weekend

West Virginia will embark on what they hope is a successful follow-up to a historic season in 2023-2024 where they earned an NCAA Championship appearance for the first time since 1948.
The Mountaineers are set to see their first action next weekend, as they travel to Independence, Minnesota for the Gopher Invitational at Windsong Farm Golf Club. Action is set to begin at 8 AM on Sunday, September 8th, with a second day of action scheduled for Monday, September 9th.
The Mountaineers will be led by a strong veteran core as they return four of five golfers from their NCAA Championship lineup, including a trio of seniors in Todd Duncan, Max Green, and Pierce Grieves.
