After closing a historic season with an NCAA Championship appearance in May, West Virginia golf is getting some recognition in the 2024-25 Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll.

The Mountaineers earned 10 votes in the poll, which sits the Mountaineers outside the Top 25, but at a respectable 39th overall in the rankings. Last season, the Mountaineers finished 28th overall as a team at the NCAA Championship in their first appearance at the tournament since 1948.

WVU finds themselves one of just seven Big 12 Conference teams that earned votes in the preseason poll. The Mountaineers will hit the course for the first time this season on September 8th as they travel to Independence, Minnesota for The Gopher Invitational.
