West Virginia football's potential 2025 NFL Draft prospects
By Joseph Smith
Wyatt Milum, Offensive Tackle
Wyatt Milum is the big name you need to watch out for on this list. The Kenova, W.Va native and Spring Valley High School alum has spent multiple years learning from Mountaineer lineman now working out the details of their NFL rookie contracts -- Zach Frazier was recently selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Doug Nester signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings. Now, Milum gets his time in the spotlight as the senior leader of the WVU offensive line.
Milum has a chance not only to follow in former teammate Frazier's footsteps by being drafted into the NFL, but he could also replicate fellow West Virginia native Darnell Wright's achievement and hear his name called in the first-round next year -- Huntington native and Tennessee offensive tackle Wright was selected tenth overall in 2023.
Early mock drafts have Milum listed as a potential first rounder -- Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports lists Milum as the 24th overall selection in a recent projection. Wilson described Milum as 'an athletic tackle who plays with good technique as both a run and pass blocker" and that "he has the potential to take his game to another level with a strong 2024 season."
