It was a big weekend for West Virginia baseball as they wrapped up their regular season and secured their Big 12 Championship seeding with a series win against conference foe TCU.

Highlighted by a 7-2 win on Friday night that saw Mountaineer JJ Wetherholt deliver a home run on his 200th career hit and capped off by a 6-5 win on Saturday, the weekend saw WVU advance to 33-20 overall and 19-11 in league play on the season.

The Mountaineers will advance to the Big 12 Championship as a No. 4 seed, missing out on the first-round bye awarded to the top two seeds by just two games. It will be the program's 11th-straight conference championship appearance, as they have qualified each season since joining the Big 12.

The Mountaineers will face a rematch with No. 9-seed TCU to open the tournament, which begins on Tuesday from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
