West Virginia baseball got back on the right track following a disappointing Big 12 tournament performance with an opening round NCAA Regionalwinagainst Dallas Baptist on Friday.

The Mountaineers tallied eight hits and saw no errors Friday as they outscored the Patriots 4-1. WVU's Reed Chumley, Logan Suave, and Sam White led the team with two hits each at the plate, with Suave knocking a home run out of the park en route to scoring two runs and driving home three RBIs in a big performance.
On the mound, WVU was led by Derek Clark, who pitched all nine innings -- he only gave up one run and tossed eight strkeouts in the dominant performance.
WVU (34-22) advance in the winner's bracket of the regional tournament, where they will face the winner of tonight's Arizona/Grand Canyon matchup. The two winners will meet Saturday night at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
