The 4 worst head coaching hires in WVU football history
By Sam Fariss
Gene Corum is just one of five WVU coaches to finish their stint in Morgantown with an overall losing record.
In the early to mid '60s, Corum held the reigns of the Mountaineer program and they won just 49.2 percent of their games.
Corum took the Mountaineers to one bowl game appearance at the end of the 1964 season when WVU lost to Liberty.
Ignoring the two slightly disappointing ties, Corum only led the team to 29 victories, averaging 6 losses a season.
