The hype for WVU quarterback Garrett Greene's senior season is building.

After a junior campaign which saw him complete 147-of-278 pass attempts for 2,406 yards, 16 touchdowns, and just four interceptions -- as well as using his legs to rush for 772 yards and 13 touchdowns -- Greene has been whispered as a dark horse candidate to be one of the best quarterbacks in the Big 12 and potentially college football as a whole.

In addition to being named as a top performer at this summer's Manning Passing Academy by a national media outlet on Saturday, a pair of national magazines that print annual college football preview editions have placed Garrett Greene on their covers.

Both Lindy's Sports and Athlon Sports have released their preview for the 2024 college football season, and Greene graces each magazine's cover. He is joined by a number of Big 12 athletes on a conference-specific version of the Athlon cover -- it also features Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels, Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon III, and Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson.

On the Lindy's cover, of which there are a few variations, Greene is joined by UNC's Omarion Hampton and Virginia Tech's Kyron Drones. To see Greene considered amongst the elite in college football to the point he is earning magazine covers is impressive, and should demonstrate many within the college football world believe he is poised for a true breakout senior season.
