Recently, West Virginia football took huge strides toward establishing an impressive 2026 recruiting class as they landed a four-star quarterback with multiple Big 10 and SEC offers in Brodie McWhorter.

It just so happens that Brodie has a cousin he attends high school with -- a four-star offensive lineman by the name of Bear McWhorter who's currently an ESPN Top 300 prospect. Bear also holds multiple SEC offers and had already verbally committed to Arkansas. However, he decided to announce Sunday that he is officially reopening his recruitment process.

Bear said in his tweet on the matter that he is de-committing "in order to take more time and rest assure I make the right decision for my future."

His cousin Brodie, who has been vocal since his commitment in support of the program and the culture Neal Brown is building in Morgantown, has already taken to social media with the goal of rallying the Mountaineer fandom to sway McWhorter to bring his talents to WVU.
