1. Geno Smith's Career Passing Yards

Current NFL standout Geno Smith had two separate years at WVU where he amassed over 4,200 yards in a season -- that's an accolade that's tough to match. You could make the argument that a couple more records that he owns will never be touched, such as his career passing touchdown mark sitting at 98, as well as his mark of 42 touchdown passes in a single season.

For now though, this argument will concentrate on the School Career Passing Yards record which sits at 11,662. The only one to ever come close to Geno's record was the gentleman who had it before him: Marc Bulger, who played from 1996 to 1999 and tallied 8,153 yards. That's over 3,500 yards under Smith's mark.

Most recently WVU quarterback and another current NFL player, Will Grier, managed 7,384 yards in 2017 and 2018. Morgantown may not be a sexy enough destination for the type of 4-5 star recruit talent that might be required to break this record. So it's plausible Geno Smith might hold his place for the remainder of time.
