3 West Virginia Basketball Records That May Never Be Broken

2. Steve Berger - Career Assists (574)
In 1989-90, Steve Berger ended his collegiate career with WVU, totaling an assist mark of 574 dimes. This record has come close to falling once, and the caliber player it took gives an idea of how untouchable this record may be. The beloved Jevon Carter would come up 15 short of beating the record during his four-year stint in Morgantown from 2014-2018. A true iron man and assist connoisseur, Carter did set a single-season assist record for WVU but still couldn't nab this record. Unless John Stockton's clone rolls into Morgantown, this one could stand for a while.
