3. Put Some Pressure On Jalon Daniels
Daniels has the making of a hybrid-type of quarterback that can beat you with his arm and his legs. WVU will need to get to the Kansas quarterback in the pass rush with names like Sean Martin and Josiah Trotter leading the charge to hamper the Jayhawks' pass game and force the injury-prone quarterback to beat the Mountaineers with his legs.
There are more ways to create pressure as well, and a real challenge will also be having a defensive back or two step up to prevent Daniels from finding easy targets down the field before a rush can get to him. The Mountaineers' secondary has struggled to do so, allowing back-to-back 300+ yard passing performances. Neal Brown said after the Backyard Brawl that 'we have not covered the pass very well.'
