2024 Big 12 Baseball Championship: When and how to watch, brackets, and more

This week, the ten-team Big 12 Baseball Championship is set to take place from Tuesday, May 21st - Saturday, May 25th. Get all the information you need below regarding when and where the action will take place this week, the teams that will compete, the official bracket for the tournament, and how to follow the action both in-person or from the comfort of your home.

Where will the championship take place?

The Big 12 Baseball Championship will be held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas – the stadium also hosts the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball. The tournament will take place at Globe Life for the third consecutive season and fifth-time in history. The Big 12 boasts the distinction of being the only major conference to host their postseason baseball championship at an MLB facility, as well as a facility that features a climate-controlled environment.

Who is competing, and what do the brackets look like?

10 of the 13 baseball teams in the Big 12 qualify for the postseason tournament. The list of this year’s programs involved in order of seeding is below:

  1. Oklahoma
  2. Oklahoma State
  3. Texas
  4. West Virginia
  5. Cincinnati 
  6. Kansas State
  7. Kansas
  8. UCF
  9. TCU
  10. Texas Tech

The championship will consist of a modified double-elimination bracket with the top two seeds earning a first-round bye. The official bracket can be seen below as an embed from the official Big 12 ‘X’ account.



When do the games take place?

As previously mentioned, the event will run from May 21st through May 25th. The action will consist of a four-game slate each day from the 21st - 24th, with games set to take place at 9 a.m, 12:30 p.m, 4 p.m, and 7:30 p.m. Central Standard Time each day. The sole game set for Saturday will be the championship final, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Most of the action will be streamed live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ – the only exceptions will be the Wednesday morning 9 a.m. game, the Thursday evening 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. matchups, and Saturday’s championship final, which will all air on ESPNU.
