WVU football suffered an embarrassing loss in Week 2 as they went on the road to a Group of 5 opponent and were knocked off in an effort that saw them manage just 250 yards offensively and 72 yards on the ground. But that wasn't the end of what must have seemed like a a nightmare for WVU.

After knocking off the Mountaineers, the defending MAC Champion Ohio Bobcats decided the have a little fun at the expense of their Week 2 opponent. As reporters waited for the Ohio postgame interview right above the team's home locker room and fans with box seats filed out of Peden Stadium in an adjacent stairwell, the sounds of the famous John Denver song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" – a song widely associated with the state of West Virginia, and one the Mountaineers sing after every home victory – began blaring from the Bobcats' locker room.

After the game, Ohio head coach Brian Smith addressed the media and was asked about that moment – he flashed a quick smile and chuckled, confirming those in attendance had heard the song correctly before admitting that his team might have been 'trolling' the Mountaineers, so to speak.

"It's a good feeling – it's good to troll every now and again, I guess," Smith said. "It wasn't on my iPhone, that popped on from somebody else. But yeah, I mean, it's great for the kids. They're excited at the – you know, what they've accomplished and the opportunity to win that game."

While it's certainly never fun to be on the losing end of such a game – or the trolling that ensues afterwards – such shenanigans after the game with hopefully light a fire under WVU so Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers avoid such losses in the future.
