One Cincinnati player left their game against West Virginia on Saturday with an injury that required him to be carted off the field – and unfortunately, things got even worse from there.
A video from MIlan Puskar Stadium went viral on Saturday as Cincinnati defensive lineman Josh Hough went down with a lower body injury and left the field via a medical cart. But what caught the internet's attention wasn't neccessarily the fact that a player got hurt and carted off the field, but rather what happened as he got carted off the field.
Because when the cart backed up on the sideline to turn toward the locker room, Hough's injured leg got trapped in-between the cart and the stadium wall, with a pain-filled expression crossing Hough's face as he clearly cried out in pain.
I don't know that I've ever seen a player's injury get worse because of the injury cart and yet... pic.twitter.com/LmgoXxnc0R

Injury cart moment goes viral during West Virginia game
The clip made the rounds online immediately, with one media member pointing out that it may be the first time they had ever seen a player's injury made worse due to the injury cart itself. And plenty of people were quick to troll the driver of the injury cart for his lack of skill behind the wheel.
And, of course, at least one person insinuated some foul play – or at least highlighted the poor optics – due to the fact that the man driving the cart was wearing a West Virginia sweatshirt. But of course, the truth of the matter likely boils down to an innocent mishap on part of the driver. Hopefully, Hough is able to make a full recovery from the injury, and the cart mishap caused no further damage.
Listen, I believe people have good intentions far more often than not.
