On Monday, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake gave his weekly press conference ahead of a Friday night showdown in Provo with the West Virginia Mountaineers in Week 6.

The Cougars enter the game undefeated and ranked in the latest AP Top 25 poll, and are highly favored in the matchup, currently sitting between 18.5-point to 19.5-point favorites against WVU football. But despite bringing a team that likely outmatches WVU to the table, Kalani Sitake is not overlooking his opponent this week. Here's what Sitake had to say about Mountaineers' head coach Rich Rodriguez and his program.

Kalani Sitake On Rich Rodriguez As A Coach

"I do know they have an amazing head coach that is proven and, you know, has connections and this is his second stand in West Virginia. I admire him, and I've been around him and have competed against him quite a bit and I know he'll have his guys ready."
"Anyone who knows anything about college football saw what Rich Rod was doing back in the day. He's been a head coach for a long time and he had things rolling for quite a long time, especially there at West Virginia. "
"He's an innovative and creative coach. And so, he's going to try to find ways to get an advantage...the guy makes his mark anywhere that he goes and finds his way to get things going"

Kalani Sitake On The Game Against WVU Football

"It's going to be a lot of fun and, you know, looking forward to the matchup. West Virginia is a really good team. With a lot of talent. They've been, you know, struck down with a lot of injuries, and so I think that hurts any team."
"They'll get guys healthy and back again to play for him this week. We're looking forward to getting their best shot, and I just got to make sure that we give them our best shot, too."

Kalani Sitake On Constructing A Game Plan For Multiple WVU Quarterbacks

"I guess we have to prepare for all of them, and you know, they've used a bunch of quarterbacks. They all have stats, and so it's not easy...if you look at all thye quarterbacks, they're all athletic. They can run, they can throw, and they know the system. So it's going to be really difficult. Regardless of who we face, we need to make sure our guys are assignment sound on our end."
