This year, the NFL Draft is being held in Pittsburgh at Acrisure Stadium, which serves as both the home stadium for not only the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the Pitt Panthers as well. And former Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, who faced off against Pitt at Acrisure last season in a ranked match-up, made sure to remind the city of the result on Draft Day.
Love was selected by the Arizona Cardinals as the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, but at Notre Dame, he was a Doak Walker Award winner during his final collegiate season. One of his biggest games was against the Panthers, where he tallied 147 yards and one touchdown while averaging 6.4 yards per carry in front of Pitt's home crowd as they hosted College Gameday, eventually leading his team to a 37-15 win.
And during his press conference after being drafted, Love was asked about his last time in the city, and he took the opportunity to remind everyone what a great time he had.
"I had a great experience here last time dominating Pitt," Love said.

Love and Notre Dame weren't the only ones who embarrassed Pitt last season, however, as the highlight of Rich Rodriguez's first season back at the helm of the West Virginia Mountaineers was a 31-24 overtime win in the Backyard Brawl at Milan Puskar Stadium.
During the game, WVU would rally from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to tie the game in the final seconds and force overtime, with running back Tye Edwards rushing for over 140 yards and three touchdowns in the winning effort. It seems like Pitt's defense may have just been prone to good running backs.
