Things are continuing to look up for a former WVU football wideout and Princeton, W.Va native who is having the best season he could hope for after transferring out of the program following spring practice.

As the West Virginia Mountaineers needed to make roster cuts in anticipation of tighter roster limits that only sort of came to fruition with the recent NCAA House Settlement, freshman wide receiver Dom Collins decided to hit the transfer portal and ended up moving a bit closer to home and taking a step down in competition level. Now with Concord (WV) of the Mountain East Conference, Collins is becoming a standout player week in and week out for the Mountain Lions.

Collins just recorded his fourth-consecutive game this season where he finished with over 100 receiving yards, and has snagged at least two touchdown receptions in three of his new program's four games this season. last week, we highlighted that Collins was leading the NCAA Division 2 level in receiving yards per game, and he held strong at the top of that statistical category after his Week 5 performance.

Collins also moved from fourth overall to third overall in total individual receiving yards this season at the Division 2 level, and jumped from a tie for sixth nationally in total receiving touchdowns to a tie for third-place in that category. In the latter two categories, he only sits behind players who have played one more game than he has this year, as the Mountain Lions had an early bye week.
