Former New England Patriots coach and multi-time Super Bowl Champion Bill Belichick made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday, and showed some potential interest in the new job opening for West Virginia football.

WVU alum and NIL donor Pat McAfee opened the segment with Belichick by immediately asking if he had any interest in the opening at WVU, to which Belichick paused for a moment before giving an answer that likely perked up a few ears.

"I might talk to you about that Pat," he said.

Belichick may have just been blowing hot air at McAfee, but he did have a seemingly serious tone and expression when making the statement.

For those unfamiliar with Belichick, he led a New England dynasty in the 2000s and 2010s that saw him win six Super Bowl rings as a head coach with an overall record of 333-178. He was also named AP NFL Coach of the Year three times, and holds the NFL records for most Super Bowl wins overall and as a head coach, and most playoff wins as a head coach.

It is worth noting that Belichick has never coached collegaite football and may not have interest in doing so -- his only collegiate experience was as a player in the 1970s. He also would like demand a large salary, and is already 72 years old and his coaching days may be behind him.

Belichick has also recently been floated as a potential candidate for the recent NFL opening with the Chicago Bears.
