The West Virginia Mountaineers areset to kick off against the UT-Martin Skyhawksfor their Week 2 game in just about an hour. WVU football will be seeking it's first 2-0 start to the season since 2018. But thy will be doing so without a few players.

With kickoff rapidly approaching, we now have a list of West Virginia players who will not take the field:according to The Dominion Post's Spencer Ripchick, players who are not dressing are listed below:

Chris Talley, RB

Andre Devine, RB

Prince Strachan, WR

Jaylen Thomas, DL

Darius Wiley, DL

Antoine Sharp Jr., LB

Jason Chambers,CB

Several of these names are obviously to be expected. Wiley had to be carted off the field in an air cast during the fourth quarter against Coastal Carolina, and Rich Rodriguezrevealed earlier this weekthat he is officially dne for the season.

Rodriguezalso shared earlier this weekthat presumed starting wide receiver Prince Strachan is still not ready to make his debut for the Mountaineers following a collarbone injury in the spring. The USC transfer expected to play a big role in the lineup this season.

Freshman Chris Talley, who was third on the depth chart at running back, is dealing with a hamstring injury and is "week-to-week," according to Rodriguez. And Jason Chambers rejoined the roster in August seeking to play one more year after court rulings offered him extra eligibility. But now, the ruling has been stayed, and Chambers is awaiting another court ruling.

The other names on the list, we don't have much information on, but none are expected to be significant rotational pieces, outside of potentially Thomas.
