Exciting details on West Virginia baseball's non-conference schedule revealed

The Mountaineers will headline a pair of neutral-site events with other Power 4 opponents during their non-conference slate.

Excitement surrounding the West Virginia Mountaineers baseball program is at an all-time high entering the 2027 season, coming off the program'sfirst-ever College World Series run. And now, the program is being thrust into the spotlight during their non-league schedule this coming year.

Two separate neutral-site, multi-team events have been announced for the 2027 season, and the Mountaineers will be partaking in both events. It will provide an opportunity for the Mountaineers to continue buildingtheir rising national brandwhile also beefing up their non-conference slate.

WVU baseball set to star Orlando Baseball Classic, return to Meritus Park

West Virginia is set to be one of six teams that willcompete in the inaugural Orlando Baseball Classicto open the season in February, which will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. The Mountaineers will be joined by Indiana State, Michigan, Pitt, St. John's, and UCF at the event.

The inaugural field will feature West Virginia, UCF, Michigan, Pitt, Indiana State and St. John’s.

The Mountaineers will avoid clashes with the Panthers and the Knight during the event due to the fact that they are already set to face off with both during the regular season. The will play Indiana State on February 26, St. John's on February 27, and Michigan on February 28.

The Mountaineers will also return to Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Maryland – home of the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars of the Atlantic League – for the second straight season this year. It was announced on Wednesday that the Mountaineerswill face the Virginia Cavaliersat the Meritus Park on May 12.

The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars of the Atlantic League have announced that West Virginia baseball will return to Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Maryland, in 2027.

The Mountaineers will take on Virginia on May 12.
