Former TCU quarterback Hauss Hejny, who entered the transfer portal last week and was contacted by the WVU staff, has found a new home inside the Big 12 Conference -- but it won't be in Morgantown.
Hejny, a dual-threat quarterback who was a four-star prospect in the Class of 2024 and the No. 12 quarterback overall in the class, will be headed to Oklahoma State per reports from Chris Hummer of 247 Sports. There, Hejny will reunite with his TCU wide receivers coach Doug Meachem, who recently took the offensive coordinator spot with the Cowboys.

A four-star prospect in the 2024 class, Hejny ranks as one of the top QBs available in the @247SportsPortal rankings. https://t.co/PbLZT67kz6 pic.twitter.com/ouiGgu31ag
This takes one of the best quarterbacks remaining in the transfer portal off the board for the Mountaineers, who will likely be looking for at least one player at the position in the portal following the graduation of starting quarterback Garrett Greene and the transfer of reserve Ryder Burton. While backup Nicco Marchiol is still on the roster, it is likely Rodriguez would want a more mobile quarterback for his system, or at least have a player with collegiate experience to challenge Marchiol in competition for the spot. However, it was unclear whether or not WVU had made an official offer to Hejny.
