Now-former Director of Football Operations at Jacksonville State Cole Dial will apparently be following Rich Rodriguez to Morgantown to take a job with the West Virginia football program.
According to the header on his Twitter/X profile, Dial will now be serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Football Operations at WVU, and he has also added a WVU football graphic as his profile header. Earlier this week, Dial sent out a tweet encouraging dual-threat quarterbacks and high-octane running backs to join Rodriguez at WVU.
Dial was the Director of Football Operation with the Gamecocks for the entirety of the Rodriguez tenure -- before his stop at Jacksonville State, he spent a five-year stint at Louisiana-Monroe where he initially linked up with Rodriguez when the latter served as the Warhawks' offensive coordinator. Dial was the Director of Football Operations in 2021 at Louisiana-Monroe after spending four years as their Director of Recruiting and Player Personnel, securing the No. 1 recruiting class in the Sun Belt in 2017.
Dial also has spent time with ACC program Syracuse before, helping them secure their highest-rated recruiting class in 15 years at the time during the mid 2010s while serving as a recruiting administrator.
