It's a tradition for the fans and football team at West Virginia to join together and sing "Take Me Home, Country Roads" after a win at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

The opening line of the famous John Denver ballad is "Almost Heaven, West Virginia." It's a lyric that rings true for most native West Virginians and many who have called the state home at one time or another in their lives. And a line many WVU football fans would agree describes Milan Puskar Stadium on a Saturday during college football season.

CBS Sports analyst Josh Pate is well-known amongst the college football world, and has seen in person plenty of the pomp, circumstance, and spectacle that makes the sport great. And while visiting Morgantown on Monday for an off-season interview with new West Virginia football coach Rich Rodriguez, Pate shared his thoughts on Milan Puskar Stadium.

In addition to the above tweets from Pate showing a "beautiful day in West Virginia" and giving a glimpse into his interview with Rodriguez, he also shared one final tweet after his work was done in Morgantown. Like the aforementioned video Pate tweeted, it offered a glimpse from the playing surface at Milan Puskar Stadium. But in addition to the photo, he shared his thoughts on WVU football's home that John Denver would likely agree with.

"Doing cardio in this place and blasting Country Roads in your AirPods really is a spiritual experience," Pate tweeted.

It's clear that Pate walked away from his trip to Morgantown pretty impressed, and had an experience that was about as close to "Almost Heaven" as one gets. The only way for a better experience, of course, would be for Pate to make it out for a home game this fall.
