The West Virginia Mountaineers are in dire need of a victory. The Mountaineers have now lost three straight games, and are winless in Big 12 play halfway through the regular season. The vibes are not great in Morgantown right now, and whether or not the Mountaineers even get back to a bowl game is in question.
The Mountaineers will be back at Milan Puskar Stadium this week for their fifth home game of the season, as they welcome the Cincinnati Bearcats in a re-ignition of an old Big East rivalry. And if they can't pull off the win, they'll be in a position where they need to win more than they lose to close out the season just to go bowling. Here's all the information you need to follow along with the game.

Cincinnati- West Virginia series history
The West Virginia Mountaineers and Cincinnati Bearcats have played each other 22 times, with the first game between the two programs dating back to 1921. Since Cincinnati joined West Virginia in the Big 12 in 2023, the Mountaineers have won two consecutive games against the Bearcats, with the last meeting a 31-24 victory in 2024. The Mountaineers have also won their last four meetings against Cincinnati, dating back to 2010.
