Three takeaways from West Virginia’s win over Iowa State

The bench was solid

During this losing skid, the bench has been pretty quiet; However, the bench was a huge part of WVU’s memorable win.

The bench had 31 points, which is up 145 percent from the last game (14 points from the bench on Saturday). Tuesday night there were numerous players that stepped up and positively impacted the final score for West Virginia.

The top point-scorer on the Mountaineers’ bench was senior Malik Curry (14), followed by freshman Seth Wilson and senior Kedrian Johnson, who both logged seven. Senior Dimon Carrigan and freshman Isaiah Cottrell also notched in a couple of points for the night.
