The WVU football team takes pride in providing a family atmosphere and that aspect was taken literally by a pair of bothers.

Mike and Joe Brown, junior college offensive linemen, recently announced their verbal commitment to the Mountaineers. Coming from Eastern Arizona, this is a unique move for the Brown brothers.

The big guys visited the Morgantown campus over the weekend and must have fallen in love with the WVU football team. The potential of the high-flying offensive of the Mountaineers is obviously attractive to the Brown brothers.

Whether run blocking or pass blocking, the Browns will have to be ready for the next level with the dynamic offense head coach Dana Holgorsen is continually implementing at West Virginia. The offensive line had some problems this season not giving enough protection for quarterback Will Grier.

The Browns look good in blue and gold and it’s fun to see a pair of brother attempting to further their academic and athletic careers. It’s certainly a unique moment in WVU football history with the brothers joining the program together.

It will become a bigger story once they officially sign and suit up for Holgorsen. According to Jayhawk Slant, Mike Brown first started playing football in college. So even though he is still fairly inexperienced, he is making a huge impact on the field.

Once Joe and Mike get to Morgantown and develop a training program, that will be the real success story. There is a lot of work that goes into being a Division I athlete and the Brown brother seem to be set on making their dreams come true.

Gaining this commitment shows that Holgorsen remains keen on building a program with a nice mix of high school recruits and junior college transfers. To be successful in the Big 12, this is the kind of set up that is needed.

The Browns should have a bright future with the WVU football team. It will be great to see them develop and become a major part of this program’s success.
