Redemption

Despite this decade of success for the women’s basketball team, a critical pundit will claim the Mountaineers have yet to accomplish anything. If the NCAA Tournament is all that matters, that might be a fair assessment.

Under Carey, the WVU women’s basketball team has never gotten past the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Now, the goal here is to first win a Big 12 title and then move on. But, this team is highly motivated and know the real goal is to go further than the Mountaineers ever have before.

Their winning attitude is what will carry them to more gritty conference wins and a chance to battle it out with the best of the country in the tournament.
