WVU women’s basketball coach Mike Carey is a no-nonsense type of leader. His attitude is a reflection of his team and his players buy into his philosophy.

Carey has a winning mentality and that’s why the WVU women’s basketball team is being built into a sustained contender each year. From the Big East to, now, the Big 12, West Virginia has always been near the top of the standings.

This year, the Mountaineers will finish on top of the Big 12. The team is experienced, but also gets contributions from younger players. There is not a more well-rounded team in the conference. What’s funny is that the Big 12 might be the most well-rounded league in the country.

West Virginia already has made some noise by going undefeated. But they aren’t done yet. There are a lot of games ahead, but the Mountaineers are ready to win another Big 12 Championship. Here are the reasons why the WVU women will repeat with a league title.
