The first game between the two programs was held on Nov. 8, 1930 at Old Mountaineer Field. According to WVUstats.com, Kansas State scored in the first quarter and the WVU football team shut it out the rest of the way.

The Mountaineers scored in the first quarter, added two touchdowns in the third quarter and recorded a safety in the final frame to get the win.
