2012, 31-24 WVU win
The 2013 contest ended in a three overtime defeat for the Mountaineers, in what was one of the worst seasons in recent memory for the WVU football team. The 2012 game, however, helped the Mountaineers snap a five-game losing streak.
Shawne Alston had a productive day at running back for the Mountaineers with 130 yards and a touchdown. Geno Smith did not throw an interception as he went 22 of 31 through the air for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
Tavon Austin did his thing all over the field with 75 receiving yards and 74 rushing yards and a 29-yard kick return. He had one touchdown in the win.
