2014, 37-24 WVU win

In 2014, the WVU football team had a productive day on offense to beat the Cyclones. Rushel Shell pounded for 146 yards on the ground, one of his best performances as a Mountaineer, and Skyler Howard tossed for 285 yards by completing 21 of 40 passes.

Howard spread the ball around well as the WVU football team had some of its best receivers performing at their best that day, though nobody racked up that many yards. Mario Alford caught five passes for 86 yards, Jordan Thompson caught four passes for 65 yards, Kevin White caught four passes for 18 yards and Daikiel Shorts caught four passes for 16 yards. Cody Clay, Wendell Smallwood and Shell each had one catch.

Iowa State actually led by 14 (21-7) points early in this game, but the Mountaineers rallied off 21 unanswered points to help the comeback cause.
