Justin Phillips

As the WVU football team plans to throw a lot against Oklahoma State, Justin Phillips will be licking his chops in the secondary. The junior from Texas is in his first season as a defensive starter.

On the season, Phillips has two interceptions and he took them both to the house for touchdowns. He has the eyes to stare down the quarterback and sure hands to haul in misfires from WVU quarterback Will Grier.

Even with those interceptions this season, the best game of his career came last year against Texas Tech. Phillips had a total of 14 tackles with one sack. So, he will be able to get to Grier in more ways than one.
